The chain of custody is an extremely essential aspect of transportation & logistics. Why? The chain of custody is a detailed tracking record of who has handled your cargo.

While nearly 98% of all packages arrive safely to their destination, that leaves 2% of deliveries unaccounted for. We’ve heard the horror stories of poor transportation experiences, and at Cryo Courier we want to take every precautionary measure to ensure that your precious cargo safely arrives at its destination.
Here’s what can happen if close attention is not paid to the chain of custody:
Failure to keep track of the movement can result in unsuccessful deliveries, and potentially damaged cargo. When working with a courier service, be sure that you are able to track your specimen at all times. At no point should your cargo’s whereabouts be unknown. If you are unable to locate or track your specimen, be sure to inquire for information on the last known handler and/or location. Your cargo is precious, and should be treated as such.
With this being said, Cryo Courier takes the chain of custody very seriously and here’s what you can expect to ensure a successful delivery:
- Accountability: We make sure that we are holding ourselves accountable for providing our customers with the best service. By having processes and checks and balances.
- Safety: The specimens we deliver are extremely precious cargo, so we ensure the safety of transportation. We do this by having incredible staff and maintaining our fleet and facility.
- Efficiency: Having a system in place to keep track of who is doing what ensures efficient processes and successful transportation. In this piece we believe communication is everything. Between staff, clients, and facility partners.
Thank you for entrusting Cryo Courier as your courier service. We are grateful to serve this community. And our process only gets better. It’s our mission to get our precious cargo safely to its final destination point!
