We didn’t name ourselves. Our clients named us.
As you may already know, Cryo Courier is a subsidiary of PearlTrans Logistics. At Pearl, we serve a wide range of clients and transport almost anything for them, including:
- Props, posters, and promotional materials for film and television companies
- Composites, cylinders, and system components for aviation parts manufacturers
- Hospital supplies, laboratory specimens, and pharmaceuticals for medical labs and providers
We were steadily growing, and we had consistent clients that turned to us whenever they needed shipments. One of those clients happened to be California Cryobank (CCB). They called on us whenever their tanks – filled with sperm samples – required delivery.
Our Humble Beginnings
Our service includes picking up the returns for CCB, too, and that’s where things got interesting. Whenever we went by their patients’ houses to collect the tanks, they would ask, “Are you guys the cryo courier?”
Sometimes, CCB’s patients asked them for their recommended courier’s contact information when their patients needed someone to transfer their embryos. CCB then gave them our number, and the patients always asked if we were “the cryo courier.”
It was interesting to hear repeatedly, and it made us realize we had something there.
We didn’t form Cryo Courier immediately, though; it took us a while longer to focus on creating this new branch. It also took plenty more people calling us to inquire about transferring live specimens.
We had to decline so many potential clients whenever they asked for specimen transfer because their clinic wouldn’t lend them a cryo tank. This often happens when a patient undergoes a procedure in one clinic but decides to finish the whole process in another clinic.
Our Hearts Dictated Our Start
We were aware that clinics respected their patients’ decision to proceed with another clinic. Still, they don’t support the patients for the transfer. The idea behind this is that if their clients can’t transfer their specimens, they’re more likely to continue their treatment in the same clinic.
It saddened us to witness how many people felt stuck in their situation. Fertility issues themselves were already stressful and overwhelming to deal with, and our potential clients had to deal with having their decisions compromised as well.
We turned down people that needed us too many times to count that we eventually put our foot down and decided that we needed to do something about it.
We started the hunt for a qualified and experienced partner to access cryogenic tanks. From there, we reinforced our mission: to offer a compassionate, professional, full-service solution to patients wishing for more flexibility on where to store their specimens or have their treatments.
We then created a new division and called it what people already called us: Cryo Courier.
Clients Named Cryo Courier
In essence, we didn’t name ourselves. Our clients named us. They need this division, and they need someone they can trust to ship their precious cargo. They call on us, and we are honored because we realize how significant our assistance is to them.
Cryo Courier was born from our clients’ demands and needs, and we strive to provide them with the best service. We focus on ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of our clients’ embryos, sperms, and other specimens.
We offer secure and confidential daily pickups and deliveries, real-time package tracking, and experienced and knowledgeable staff and package handlers. We also customize our services according to each facility’s needs to lessen our clients’ stress related to shipping their special bundles.
Pearl Tran’s cryogenic division embraced Cryo Courier as its name because everyone we came across while transporting cryogenic specimens called us that, and we love it. Cryo Courier was established because we knew people needed a courier to rely on and entrust with their priceless parcels.
